Cinema - Movie review of Rockstar (Nargies Fakhri) in Bollywood

After working on his new movie Rockstar in Prague, Ranbir Kapoor takes his star power to Mumbai! And while the popular actor was all dressed up like a hippie in Europe, he has gone back to looking more like himself while shooting for the movie in Mumbai.

To shoot his new movie Rockstar , the Bollywood heartthrob didn’t only have to dress up as one, he also had to fly out to Prague! Ranbir talked to DesiHits.com about the movie long before it started shooting and he told us, “Next I have a film called Raajneeti , it’s a political thriller, it should be out sometime end of May then I have Anjaana Anjaani in July and then I’m starting a film called Rockstar , it stars me and I think a new girl.”

Cast and crew started shooting in May and the new girl Ranbir mentioned turns out to be Nargis Fakhri, a half Czech- half Pakistani model from New York. It will be interesting to see how she interacts with the B-town favorite. Piyush Mishra and Shammi Kappor also have roles in the movie.

And now the cast has moved on to Mumbai where Ranbir was spotted on the set wearing a pair of blue jeans and a plaid shirt. Rockstar is directed by Imtiaz Ali, who also did Love Aaj Kal and Jab We Met , and produced by Eros international and Shri Ashtavinayak Cine Vision.

While Ranbir won’t be dancing in the movie he will be seen singing to A.R. Rahman’s music. Ranbir’s character Jordan is reportedly inspired by a real rockstar, Jim Morrison, and the buzz is that the film tells the story of a small town boy who becomes – you guessed it – a rockstar!

Nargis Fakhri is a half Czech- half Pakistani model. New York-based Nargis, 21, was featured in the 2009 Kingfisher swimsuit calendar.
